A neighboring commercial property owner wrote in to say he doesn't oppose the preschool, but asked that his C-1 commercial rights at 2219 Arena Drive NE not be diminished and that the approval create no new restrictions on his property.

The preschool's co-owner told the board her family business serves the community, that Rio Rancho is a childcare desert with a nearly two-year infant waitlist, and that the vacant land has sat empty for more than 19 years.
